April News and f-r-e-e-b-i-e-s

Hello Reader, As I sit here, the sky is gray, the clouds are heavy, and my dog is sleeping at my feet. As I write this, it is April 3rd, and a blanket is draped over my legs. It's the perfect day to send out my newsletter and share the latest on my writing journey. Writing CornerMy newest novella is coming along beautifully! It dives into a complex divorce, the struggles of raising four teenage girls, and recognizing that it is never too late to start again. This novella is a huge project. Six authors creating six novellas, all happening within the same three-month period. It requires constant communication, overlap of characters and places, and a timeline that must be reflected throughout the six stories. Welcome to Blue Spruce Hills! Coming October 2026! Gratitude CornerI recently bought a bread maker. It was an impulse buy, but I was tired of busting the food budget, and I thought making our own bread could save us a few dollars. I LOVE it. I find it relaxing and fun and rewarding. It's a long process, and I think that is part of the joy. You wait almost four hours to taste hot, homemade bread free of additives and preservatives. And when I did the math, it made sense. I probably bake 2-3 loaves a week. My favorite is honey wheat, and my go-to cooking website is allrecipes.com. My only suggestion I have for this particular recipe is to increase the amount of honey to 1/4 cup. I'm not yet brave enough to try any fancy recipes, but as my confidence grows, so will my bravery. Reading CornerIf you're anything like me, a book that takes place near the ocean is exactly what you need! April is a wonderful month, but early April resembles March too much, and the cold, dreary days (at least in New England) are a harsh reminder that summer is almost here! Check out these two opportunities to get your hands on An Unfinished Story for free! Happy Reading and Happy Easter! I hope you have a beautiful weekend. Edy. P.S.--Don't forget to reply to this email if you want the deleted/bonus chapter to An Unfinished Story.
