Blue Spruce Hills and an Audio Sale

Hello Reader,

Happy September! I hope wherever you are, the temperature has cooled with the earlier sunsets and later sunrises. I am officially back at work, and like every September, the transition is slowly stealing my energy and motivation. But I keep plugging along, knowing it's only for a season and will get better with each passing day.

Today we will talk about Blue Spruce Hills, Thomas Darbo Trolls, and a Match Made in Ireland Audio sale.

Welcome to Blue Spruce Hills, a small Poconos town you won't want to leave.

Each standalone novella follows a woman on the brink of change. Whether it’s a lifetime resident, a newcomer, or someone just passing through, what moves her isn’t the view from the mountains; it’s the people. The neighbor who becomes a friend. The community that becomes a family.

This is a multi-author series: every novella stands alone, yet all of them share the warm, quirky cast that fills Blue Spruce Hills. Whether these women are starting over, coming home, letting go, or beginning again, you'll close each book feeling cozier, more hopeful, and a little more at home.

So, if you love small-town women’s fiction and stories about reinvention and found family, pour a cup of tea, settle in, and stay awhile.

September 15th marks the start of the Blue Spruce Hills celebration. This is Halloween by Sarah Branson kicks off the series with a Halloween story that includes Agnes Bell, a friendly ghost.

If you love • small town romance • ghost mentor • found community • slow burn • woman finding home • past and present collide • reluctant to stay • Halloween setting • professional woman romance • haunted by the past (literal) • second chance at belonging, you'll love This is Halloween.

Jules Lockwood, nurse-midwife and family nurse practitioner, wants two years of loan forgiveness and a one-way ticket to Australia. Her obstacle: a town that keeps finding reasons to need her.

Eli Matthews, Blue Spruce Hills town historian, is the kind of man who came back when it mattered and stayed. He brings coffee every morning without being asked.

Agnes Bell, midwife, 1856 to 1931, has been waiting in Blue Spruce Hills since her death for the right pair of hands to pass her work to. She has found them. She is not subtle about it.

On Halloween night, when the veil between past and present is at its thinnest, everything Jules came to Blue Spruce Hills to avoid arrives at once.

This Is Halloween delivers the satisfaction of a woman choosing herself and her work on her own terms, a slow-burn romance that earns every moment, and a ghost story that will make you wish you could have known Agnes Bell.

Now let's talk Trixie Fay, my changeling story that has yet to be named and yet to be fully drafted. She's a work in progress, but I love her. Has anyone heard of the Thomas Dambo trolls? He's an artist who has built giant trolls in random spots throughout the world. It's like a scavenger hunt when you decide to find them. They're usually embedded in nature and well off the beaten path. The sheer size and detail are stunning.

Last weekend we ventured into Rhode Island, which has a few trolls scattered throughout the state. We found Mrs. Skipper, who overlooks the ocean, and it was beautiful! The bay, the seagulls, the rocks, and the sailboats brought me to my happy place, and the troll brought me back to Trixie!

If you have an opportunity, I recommend you find a troll. It totally re-inspired me to get to work on Trixie's story, as Trixie's sidekicks are a troll named Garo and an orc named Raj.

And last but not least, I am having a $.99 sale on my store only for the audio version of A Match Made in Ireland. September is the month when college begins, so this sale is in honor of all the first-time study abroad students who are stepping into a foreign country for the next semester or two.

I hope your time away is filled with wonder, adventure, laughter, and moments of vulnerability. Enjoy!

Have a wonderful September and I hope to hear from you soon.

Keep Reading!--Edy.
