Everyone is Irish on Saint Patrick's Day! ☘️
|
Hello Reader, Happy Saint Patrick's Day! I've never been one to celebrate holidays, and I've ALWAYS envied those mothers who could pull it off. Valentine's Day cookies for their kids' lunches, leprechaun traps on Saint Patrick's Day, and matching t-shirts on Fourth of July. How I wanted to be that kind of mother... Between kids, housework, work-work, and trying to write a novel, I could barely manage my life on a daily basis. There was no way I could orchestrate a special holiday ON the holiday. But I always envied those mothers who could pull it off. Somehow, I didn't inherit that ability. Now, Saint Patrick's Day! That is a different story (even if the only thing I did was eat shepherd's pie and listen to traditional Irish music). It signified almost spring, almost summer, and one of the happiest eras of my life. So from me to you, no matter where you are located, HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY! And here is a delicious Guinness Shepherd's Pie recipe just for you! Writing CornerThere is so much to say, and I don't want to bore you with ALL the details, but I have decided to put ALL my books into Kindle Unlimited. It seems like life gets more and more expensive each day, and I have this philosophy with anything I sell. I will not sell it for more than I am willing to spend. Right now, with gas prices climbing, heating costs soaring, and food prices exploding, buying books (to me, right now) is a luxury. I've been focusing on libraries a lot more, free downloads, and borrowing paperbacks from friends. With that being said, all my ebooks are in kindle unlimited. You can now enjoy all nine novels for one fixed rate. If you are like me and really think about where your money is going, I hope this alleviates some of that stress when deciding if a new book is in the budget. You can find my books on Amazon in KU. If you'd rather buy them, check out Edy's Bookshop. Reading CornerSpeaking of free downloads, have you read the Summer Breeze series? The first book in the series is free for Amazon Prime members: Callie Williams is tired of it all: her fast-paced life in New York City, her demanding career, and her exacting fiancé. An unexpected visit from her sister and the discovery of a secret upend her life, and she is forced to finally make the decision to start over. Leaving everything behind, Callie makes a life-changing move to the small town of Seneca Springs nestled on the banks of Cayuga Lake in beautiful Finger Lakes Wine Country. Taking on a daunting renovation while navigating the complexities of small-town life, Callie forges lifelong friendships, eats more than her fair share of delicious food, and tries not to meddle in the lives of her guests. The only thing hindering her newfound happiness is the attraction she feels for Nick, a rough-around-the-edges construction worker who is determined to get under Callie’s skin. A late-night delivery will tear them apart, but a quintessential nor'easter snowstorm might just force them back together.... I hope you love it! Happy Saint Patrick's Day! Edy
P.S.- Embracing Island Life, the third and final installment of the Block Island Saga, is available for early readers. If you are interested, I can send you the link to download the file from Booksirens. It is the third book, but doesn't have to be read in sequence. Just reply to this email and tell me you'd like a copy. The book launches May 15th, so if you can read it by then and consider leaving a review, I would be forever grateful!
