Fourteen Authors and a Kindle.

Hello Reader,

My favorite day of the year is in seven days. Daylight Savings Time! Can I get a "whoo hoo!" from all my other DST fans? For me, this is the day that signifies the end of winter and the start of spring. Thank goodness we survived, because this winter was rough.

As I write this, snow is falling from my window, but you know what? Next week is DST, so let it snow from now until next Sunday, but it better stop after that!

In celebration of spring, I HAVE to hype up the Block Island Saga. Story Three, Embracing Island Life is back from the editor. She said she was nervous to read it, because she had never cared for Jackie, but she loved it!

Embracing Island Life is Jackie's story post-baby. For those of us who have gone through parenthood, those early years are hard. For me, they were the most difficult years in my marriage, and I wanted to give a voice to those feelings. Jackie needed a redemption story because she wasn't the most likable character in the first two books, but she IS lovable and deserves to have her story told.

If you haven't read An Unfinished Story (Story One), you can enter the running for a free copy AND a free kindle. Join the booksweeps here. A winner will be selected May 1st.

In the meantime, I've been busy drafting my next novella, Family is Family. I was on the fence as to what genre I wanted to slide into, but my character's led me down the women's fiction route. So you will find my next novella available in October 2026.

And because I love drafting more than ANYTHING, I will be starting A Holiday Made in Ireland, the sequel to A Match Made in Ireland, and will hopefully have that ready for you by June 2027.

Another thing I love about spring is the increased motivation I have to get out there and share my books with new readers. Next weekend I'll be at an Author Expo in Millbury, MA. If you're local, I'd love to see you! This is my second time doing this event, and I connected with new readers and aspiring writers, which is always the highlight of the event. There are fourteen authors who write varying genres, so you're sure to find something you will love.

The other day, I was thinking about how writing has ALWAYS been a huge piece of me. Whether it was writing short stories with my cousin at my grandmother's dining room table, or corresponding with my cousin who lived out of state or my pen pal that was assigned in fifth grade (we continued writing up until high school), or journaling, I always had paper near me. If I wasn't writing, I was reading, and every now and then I dabbled in drawing.

I still have all my journals, and as much as I want to burn them, there is a raw honesty that I think could be appreciated by my children when they are older. I already gave the journal I wrote at fourteen to my fourteen-year-old daughter, and she made fun of me for days, but isn't that what life is about? Being vulnerable and honest?

I try to convey real-life emotions in my novels because those emotions are layered penstrokes to my story.

On Sale until March 5th!

Don't forget that A Trip Down Memory Lane on audio is on sale across ALL retailers for a few days longer! If you're looking for a story that is sweet (think Hallmarky), entertaining, and warm and fuzzy, you'll love this cozy romance.

Cassidy left Rhode Island to hide her shame for bankrupting her parents, but now she must return for her best friend's wedding. A sudden snowstorm shuts down the airport, and she's forced to ride up the Eastern Seaboard with her ex. Will twenty-four hours in a car bring them back together? Or was this another moment for them to say goodbye?

For a story about first loves, forgiveness, and understanding, you'll love A Trip Down Memory Lane.

Love,

Edy.

P.S.--I'm toying with putting ALL my books into KU (Kindle Unlimited for those who aren't familiar). Please respond to this email and let me know if you're a KU reader. I want to do what's best for my readers, and I need to know if the majority are in KU or if you prefer to buy off-amazon.
